Built for performance and flexibility, this DIY aluminum frame features integrated rod holders and a reinforced platform ready to accept a seat pedestal.
Originally engineered for FKB430 KaBoats with factory-installed D-rings on the air deck floor, this frame is also highly adaptable for use across a wide range of inflatables.
The frame is available in two configurations: Frame Only and Frame Plus Base.
- Frame Only: Designed to fit the FKB430 with pre-installed D-rings. It can also be secured to other air deck floors by installing D-rings and using lashing tie-downs. Inflatable boat or paddle board D-rings are inexpensive and easy to find online and Amazon.
- Frame Plus Base: Includes a rectangular aluminum base that sits on top of the air or aluminum floor. Install the base while the boat tubes are partially inflated, then fully inflate the tubes. The inflated tubes should firmly squeeze the base from both sides, locking it in place and preventing movement. The L-frame bolts directly to the base and can be installed together.

Smart Setup Tips
For best stability, keep your seating position as low as possible. Lower center of gravity improves balance, especially when underway or making turns. A low-profile fishing seat is recommended over heavily cushioned high seats.
Important Safety Note
This frame is designed to assist with balance while casting when the boat is stationary. Standing while the boat is in motion is not recommended.
