Originally engineered for FKB430 KaBoats with factory-installed D-rings on the air deck floor, this frame is also highly adaptable for use across a wide range of inflatables.
For maximum versatility, it can be mounted to a custom-cut DIY plywood base, creating a stable, universal platform that fits neatly under fully inflated tubes. As the tubes inflate, they naturally press down on the board, securing the frame firmly in place—no complex mounting required. For added protection, use round-head bolts installed from the bottom up and cover them to prevent contact with the air floor. Smoothing or taping the plywood edges helps protect your tubes and ensures long-term durability.
Alternatively, you can install a set of D-rings directly onto the air deck floor and secure the frame using lashing tie-downs. D-rings are inexpensive and easy to find online—simply search for inflatable boat or paddle board D-rings to complete your setup.
