Powerful 1500W Brushless Motor
The high-efficiency 1500W brushless permanent magnet motor delivers up to 21.5 kg (47 lbs) of thrust, providing excellent acceleration and performance for a wide variety of watercraft. Depending on the hull design, load, and water conditions, speeds of up to 9 mph (14.5 km/h) may be achieved.

The K4 Sport operates on an external 48V DC battery (45–55V operating range). Customers may purchase a compatible 48V lithium battery separately from Amazon or other battery suppliers. This allows you to choose the battery capacity that best fits your desired runtime and budget.

Safety Notice - Signal Interruption:
Electric fins use wireless communication between the remote and motor. Like any Bluetooth-based system, signal interruption may occur due to interference, distance, or low battery. For safety, always keep the battery easily accessible so power can be quickly disconnected if needed. This ensures you can immediately stop the motor in case of lost signal or unexpected behavior. Use in open, low-interference environments and avoid placing other electronic devices close to the controller during operation.
Warnings and Quick Tips
- Expect a short learning curve to get familiar with the electric fin’s steering. As with any vehicle or watercraft, always slow down before turning. The steering is very responsive. Do not make sudden turns at full speed, as this may cause a narrow vessel to tip or result in falling into the water.
- Do not push the steering lever aggressively. A very light push left or right is enough to change direction. The trim buttons located to the right of the main steering lever can also be used for small directional adjustments.
- Do not attempt to steer a SUP while standing unless you have excellent balance and agility. The K4 electric fin is best operated while sitting on a SUP, kayak, or mini skiff. A lower center of gravity provides much better stability. Extra-wide mini skiffs or kayaks are recommended for heavier riders. Always get a feel for the turning force at low speed before increasing speed.
- The remote includes a wrist strap. For hands-free use, an optional neck lanyard can be attached to secure the remote and keep your hands free.
- To extend the life of the K4 electric fin, always rinse it with fresh water after use in saltwater or muddy conditions.
- The K4 comes with a prop guard. If operating in water without swimmers or heavy vegetation, the prop guard may be removed to slightly increase speed.
- If using the electric fin in areas with seaweed, briefly engage reverse to help clear vegetation from the prop guard.
- Bluetooth communication between the remote and controller may be interrupted if the controller is placed too close to the battery. Other Bluetooth devices or speakers nearby may also cause signal loss. If the motor stops unexpectedly, try moving the controller farther away from the battery and turn off nearby Bluetooth devices on board.
- Make sure the cable connector plugged into the battery is clean, not corroded, and fully inserted into the battery receptacle. Inspect the contacts on both the cable connector and battery receptacle for any signs of corrosion. If you notice white residue, clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner or alcohol before reconnecting. Dirt, oils, or residue on the contacts can prevent the electric fin from operating properly.
- Make sure both the battery and remote controller are fully charged. A low controller battery may cause the motor to stop working intermittently.
- Remote Control is water-resistant and splash-proof for normal boating conditions, including rain and water spray. Not waterproof. Do not submerge in water. If the remote falls into the water, retrieve and dry it immediately.
