Seating Frame for Boats, KaBoats, Rafts and Kayaks.

Both sides adjustable width. Can be cut shorter to fit into narrow KaBoats and kayaks.

Last one available. Customer return, like new condition.

Upgrade from hard aluminum bench, to the comfort of fishing chair seating. Now you can really enjoy the ride and have control over your boat's engine! Add swivel platform to easily move 360 degree.

This adjustable aluminum frame-seating platform takes riding comfort to the next level. Now you can control your outboard engine, while a padded boat or fishing chair supports your back. After trying this new system, you'll never go back to a regular hard bench. Pair seating frame with our central console, to make ultimate boating set up.

What makes this frame special, is that both sides can slide in and out. That allows easy frame modifications to fit into narrower KaBoats, and even inflatable kayaks. Just cut tubes shorter on all 4 sides, and you can install this frame into any KaBoat or kayak with as small as 14" inner width. Two frames can be DIY joined together, to make seating platforms for 2 fishing seats, side-by-side.

Due to the fact that this system is mounted to the floor and not to the boat tubes, vibration and bumps during a choppy ride are significantly reduced.

Holes in the aluminum frames are designed to match 7" economy boat seat pedestals that are sold in many retail stores such as Kmart, Wal-Mart and Outdoor World. A swivel base and boat fishing chair with back support can easily be installed on top of the boat seat pedestal.

You will also need these (not included):

Boat Seat

An Economy boat seat pedestal retails for around $20 on Amazon, a swivel base costs $15 and up, and fishing chair prices can vary depending on comfort level from $20 to $200. Also available in local Walmart or outdoor store. You also will need stainless steel mounting hardware. Bolts with round heads should be inserted in the frame from the bottom up, so that the round head of the bolt touches, but does not scratch the floor. Please notice that center of gravity should be lower, to avoid falling at higher speed or sudden turns.

The installation is simple. First, deflate one of tubes, and simply place the platform inside the boat. Then, push the adjustable components away from each other until the outer sides of the aluminum frame tubes touch the inside of the boat tubes. Finally, tighten the screws, and re-inflate boat tube to squeeze the seating platform between the boat tubes. For boats with plywood floors, the platform will rest on the stringers.

PLEASE NOTE: Boat chair pedestal, swivel platform, chair and hardware are NOT included, but can be purchased separately at many retail stores and on-line, such as Amazon or Ebay, etc.

Sitting frame will extend from 14" to 35", fitting most inflatable boats with interior widths between those measurements. Please measure inside your boat to make sure.

Quick Tips:
  • You may need to cut out C-frame shorter on all 4 sides, to make it easier to fit inside narrower type of boats and Kaboats.
  • If bolts provided with this frame does not fit into purchased pedestal cut outs, use small round file to enlarge cut outs.
  • We recommend using WD40 to make assembly/disassembly easier.
  • When inserting or removing C-frame into or from main frame, try to hold both hands at both insertion points at the same time, and then move C-frame inside or outside at equal distances/steps in order to avoid C-frame getting stuck under the angle inside main frame. If it happen, step on C-frame, spray with WD40 and pull main frame slowly, or use rubber mallet.
  • You just need to assemble frame at proper distance once, and then lock it with thumb screws. Then you simply deflate one tube, push frame with attached seat inside, on top of the floor, and then re-inflate tube to keep frame in place. To remove frame from boat, simply deflate one side of tube and pull frame out.

I was skeptical but after seeing all the videos I was sold. I had to adjust mine for my kaboat but it was a painless process. It is lightweight but feels like quality. Overall a good product.

This is the way inflatable boats are meant to be used, nothing against the provided aluminum ones but I prefer my own chair rather than bumping on aluminum benches. These provide a much more bespoke experience and makes the whole process much more refined since I can pick where they are placed and what I attach to them.

These make riding so much easier, it feels very professional when you pair it with a console and steering wheel. I now drive my boat like you would a typical hard-shell boat. I also equipped it with a sun canopy and it feels like such a premium experience. I bought some very comfortable chairs to pair them up with these frames.

I am really glad I purchased one, it's a must for comfort. We installed some really comfortable pvc chairs with a backrest it makes relaxing on the water so much easier. Now I can put my feet out and really stretch out on my boat without having anything in the way. The aluminum seats that came with the boat are not bad but they don't compare to ones own.
