13' Saturn CAT396 Inflatable Drop Stitch Catamaran Boat Platform.

Due to high demand, this model sold out quickly. More are on order and expected by the end of November. Please join the waiting list above for availability updates or check back at the end of October.

Introducing the new Saturn Inflatable Drop-Stitch Catamaran — a modern ultra-rigid inflatable platform designed for stability, deck space, shallow water access, and compact transport. Built entirely from high-pressure drop-stitch material, this catamaran inflates into a remarkably solid structure while still packing down into a manageable size for storage or transport.

At 13 ft long and 68 in wide, the CAT396 offers a spacious oversized deck with approximately 75 x 48 in cockpit area, giving you plenty of room for fishing, diving, lounging, camping gear, coolers, or custom seating setups. The catamaran-style twin hull design improves stability and helps reduce drag while keeping the deck elevated above water.

Constructed from heavy-duty reinforced PVC drop-stitch fabric with heat-welded seams, the CAT396 is engineered for durability and rigidity similar to a hard platform when inflated to proper pressure. Multiple stainless D-rings across the deck provide numerous attachment points for gear, cargo, coolers, seating, or custom accessories. Integrated side mounting tracks allow installation of optional rod holders, cup holders, fish finders, camera mounts, and other accessories.

The unique open rear cutout design makes it ideal for electric motors, small outboards, steering systems, or water access for diving and swimming. Raised catamaran hulls and narrow side tubes also help improve tracking and efficiency on the water.

Unlike traditional inflatable boats with soft floors and rounded interiors, the flat drop-stitch deck creates a much larger usable standing and storage area.

Saturn CAT396 Inflatable Catamaran Specifications

Specifications:

  • Overall Length: 156 in (13 ft)
  • Overall Width: 68 in (5 ft 8 in)
  • Inside Width: 56 in (4 ft 8 in)
  • Cockpit Area: 75 x 48 in
  • Side Height: 17–21 in
  • Shipping Size: 77x23x15"
  • Recommended Inflation Pressure: 8–10 PSI (15 PSI maximum).
Do not inflate to the maximum 15 PSI in hot weather. Air inside the boat expands as it heats up, and a fully inflated boat left in direct sunlight may exceed 15 PSI, potentially causing damage.

  • This boat is large and heavy. Please read the important information below.

Testing the Saturn CAT396 Inflatable Catamaran with an Electric Trolling Motor!

Inflatation, assembly and review.

Important:

  • Due to its overall size when deflated and rolled, this boat is best transported inside an SUV or truck. It may not fit inside a regular sedan but can be placed on the roof and securely fastened with lashing tie-down straps.
  • Due to its weight of almost 100 lbs., we highly recommend that this boat be handled by two strong adults. A DIY wheel setup is recommended if the boat needs to be moved by one person. Please note that this boat may be too heavy for some individuals to handle safely.
  • Due to the boat’s large size, an electric inflator pump is highly recommended. Inflation should take approximately 15 minutes when using an electric pump.
  • Before unrolling the boat for the first time after taking it out of the box, note or take pictures of how it is folded. This will make it much easier to fold it back to a similar size after deflation so it fits back into the original package.

DIY PROJECT HOW TO BUILD SEAT BASES

Here is an interesting DIY project showing how to build a custom boat seat base using T-slot extruded aluminum. This lightweight and adjustable design is a great seating solution for inflatable boats. Please see the Attachments tab for materials and assembly instructions.

Exactly what I was looking for! Wide stable platform with pontoons; light enough to move around, even with just one person (a big wheel kayak dolly helps) and lots of D rings to strap down gear. It even fits fully inflated in the back of my short-bed truck, tilted up on its side and strapped down, though more than half of it sticks out the back, so recommend clipping a flag to the back for visibility (as you should with any long load). The Haswing 1.0 trolling motor (which BTG also sells) pushes it along at around 4mph with a ~600lb load. My wife (who was skeptical at first) and I are loving cruising around the Northern Michigan lakes on our new little, low maintenance pontoon! And when winter comes, we can easily pack it away for storage.
It beat my expectations and it fits in my Scion XB !
It’s the perfect fly fishing vessel on the Puget Sound.
Great platform. Took it out on Lake Roosevelt in Eastern Washington State.
8 knot chop but boat handled it well.
Powered by 50lb thrust Minn Kota.
Purchased this last month. The open platform was exactly what I was looking for. The ability to use a comfortable chair. Stable, huge payload and just glides thru the water.
