New Saturn HD385 model is much larger than our regular Saturn SD385. It is wider, longer inside and has much larger tube diameter. That is why it more expensive. Overall HD385 is more boat and more features than SD385. HD385 also wider than FB385, and have larger tube diameter. However, it lacking 2nd layer of PVC along bottom of tubes, and there is no front bow motor mount option. But, not everyone want to use motor in front, or drag boat over sharp rocks. There are however extra wide rub strakes along bottom of tubes. So, it is heavy-duty boat all around.

New heavy-duty HD385 inflatable boat takes up to a maximum of 30 HP outboard motor, but will plane easily with a smaller 9.9-15 HP outboards. HD boats tubes are produced with newest heat welding methods, and have reinforced transom holders. Heat welding seams offering better resistance against heat and humidity in a long run.

Extra thick and wide rub strakes at the bottom of the tubes and along the keel provide superior protection from sharp objects in a water and shore. The safety valve will prevent excessive air pressure in the boats chambers. 5 separate air chambers provide additional safety layer to new HD series of boats.

What makes these boats unique, is a double grommet splash lines on top of tubes, with extra wide rub strake in between them. That area designed to be used for extra cargo, such as diving gear, fishing rods, coolers, boxes or duffel bags, etc. Any type of gear can be lashed down with bungee cords or tie downs between grommets. That will free up valuable real estate inside boat cockpit, leaving more space to operate boat and move around.

New Heavy-Duty Saturn HD385 inflatable boats come with a 5 section heavy-duty aluminum floor. Floor installation steps are here. Please note that tubes and keel must be as hard as rock when inflated to avoid cracking to the floor.

Even inexpensive dolly movers will work great for transporting a folded or fully inflated boat. Get dinghy dolly wheels to easily move the inflated boat across the shore and into the water.
