Sectional Hard Floor Assembly

  1. Please download Plywood or Aluminum Floor assembly manual for more information.
  2. First time hard floor installation may seems to be slightly difficult, but it will become easier and quicker with each following assembly/disassembly.
  3. It is recommended that installation will be done by 2 people, at least at the very first few times.
  4. Keel usually folded sideway during factory packing. Therefore, for very first time installation, inflate keel, and position it such way that air valve on a top and in a middle of the keel. Then deflate keel while keeping valve on top. You will need it to make sure keel valve is properly position against opening in a front piece of the floor.
  5. Aluminum side stringers are designed to cover joint points of floor blocks, they are not suppose to run whole length of the floor.
  6. Keep sharp edges of aluminum floor away from tubes, or cover with duct or painters tape during installation.
  7. Place floor boards inside boat hull such way that there is equal distances left between edges of the floor plates and edge of the boat bottom. You will need these spaces to install stringers.
  8. Start from front board #1 and work till middle of boat. Then install rear board and work toward installed boards.
  9. Two floor boards in a middle of board will slightly overlap with each other. Lift them up and place such way as to create roof-shape structure. Then step on top of that structure, and floor boards should spread inside boat to become almost flat.
  10. Place one assembled rowing oar on a ground, along boat bottom. Then lift boat side up, and push assembled oar slightly under boat, such way that oar will lift edge of floor boards to be up. This way it will be much easier to slide stringers over floor board edges. Repeat this step on another side.
  11. After floor is installed, make sure tubes are fully inflated to squeeze stringers into floor channels. Boat tube should have no wrinkles or be soft to the touch.
