The 8'6" SATURN SD260 inflatable boat is one of the smallest dinghies available with a high pressure air floor.

A reliable tender is about the most important piece of equipment that a cruiser can own. The Saturn SD260 is great as a tender for yachts or sailboats.

This inflatable boat is lightweight and does not take up much space once deflated. SD260 boats can take up to a 8 HP short shaft outboard motor and can carry up to 3 people maximum. This boat can also be used as a lifesaving raft in case of an emergency.

Saturn inflatable boats are made of 1100 denier Korean PVC fabric with polyester support that has excellent resistance to tearing, tension and breaking. It is a much more heavy-duty PVC fabric than most of our competitors with 1000 denier PVC boats.

The Saturn SD260 inflatable boat comes standard with a high-pressure drop stitch air deck floor. Our drop stitch floors can take up to 9 psi of air pressure, and become extremely rigid once properly inflated. Not only do air floors make inflatable boats much lighter and more compact when deflated, but they also make it much easier to assemble and disassemble the boat. You simply unroll it and pump in air with the included hand pump. To deflate the boat, simply open all air valves and start rolling the boat from the transom, or quickly suck all air out with an electric pump. Click to see how to deflate and fold your inflatable boat.

SD260 SATURN inflatable boat is excellent as a small rowing dinghy. You can easily reach your sailboat or go for the day of fishing on a lake. SD260 moves nice and easy when rowing, and due to the high stability of inflatable boat, it is possible to stand up for fly fishing or while boarding your yacht. This boat is a must for RV owners or anyone who wants to be on the water quick and on a budget. Click here to read inflatable boats reviews of our customers.

Double layers of fabric at the bottom of the tubes and rub-strake protector along the keel provide extra protection from sharp rocks and abrasive sand. The safety valve will prevent excessive air pressure in the boats chambers.

New and improved Saturn SD260 V2.0 boat has an all around splash guard. Grommets on splash guard make it easier to attach bimini & gear, and splash strip makes tubes looks higher.

New features further improve inflatable boats durability and practicality:

  • Air valves have been moved toward the inside of boat's tubes and away from direct exposure to the elements. This will allow easier inflation from inside the boat and will minimize damage caused by sun and rain while the boat is stored uncovered for prolonged periods of time. Rain water will not accumulate inside the valves.
  • Triangular symmetrical splash guards were installed on the transom corners to provide the sensitive transom of an uncovered boat with additional protection and shade from the elements throughout extended periods in Tropical environments.

Quick Tip! Worried about puncturing the air floor with a fishing hook, dog claws or sharp object? Get a piece of vinyl flooring or rubber mat from your local hardware store. Cut the vinyl to fit inside the boat, over the floor and your air floor will be almost indestructible! When deflating, just roll it up along with the boat for future use.

Note: Specifications and accessories are subject to change without notice. Max O/B Motor means: maximum power of outboard motor that can be safely used to plane the boat loaded to the maximum capacity at normal water surface conditions. Please exercise common sense and caution when using maximum motor capacity. Do not jump from wave to wave as new 4-stroke motors are much heavier then 2-stroke and provide extra strain on the transom. Under normal circumstances, with half the maximum persons/load capacity, 50% of maximum O/B power rating may be necessary to put the boat on plane.

I bought my first Saturn, a 260, about 5 years ago when I had a 28’ express cruiser. It was the perfect size to fit on the bow so that I could take it with me to the Southern California Channel Islands. I had looked at a lot of inflatable PVC boats in stores and on the docks, and I figured out that I couldn’t beat the 260 for appearance, price and quality. \r\n\r\nThree years ago I bought a 38’ foot cabin cruiser that came with a similar size inflatable to the Saturn 260. I have kept both inflatables on the boat and that has given me a chance to compare the two.\r\n\r\nThe one that came with the boat is very similar to the Saturn, but the difference in quality is amazing. I have a 2.5 HP motor and a 4 HP motor and have used both of those motors on both the boats, so I have quite a bit of varied use experience with both boats under the same conditions.\r\n\r\nI can tell you that the Saturn has held up much better than the other boat in both condition and appearance. I covered both boats most of the time, but each spent a lot of time in the Southern California sun as well. The other inflatable has turned a dingy gray color that, despite numerous washings, can’t be gotten rid of. One of the holders that the grab-rope is attached to has broken making that grab-rope useless. And the floor has become sticky from sun exposure. By contrast, the Saturn has held its bright appearance. The accessories like the grab-ropes, oarlocks, and have maintained the functionality. The quality of that boat has really stood out. \r\n\r\nMy dockmates have taken notice of my Saturn inflatable. Based on its appearance after five years AND its favorable price comparison, two of them have also bought Saturns….one just last week! And because my fiancé has decided she would like to take her dog along on our trips in the inflatable, I just ordered a Saturn 330 to make that possible.\r\n\r\nGood quality, good appearance, great price! I have no idea why anyone would buy a comparable inflatable anywhere else!

I guess you hear this quite often, but I thought you might like to hear it again. After inflating, deflating and packing my SD260 it became evident that I made a wise purchase. I was expecting that deflating and packing my SD260 would be a chore, not so. The design of the carry bag is ingenious. Although a bit heavy for a 155 lb senior citizen, it can be done. At least to my car! It's a bit (VERY) cold in New York right now, however, as soon it gets warmer I am going to hit the water. I have been kayaking for years, now that I am 70 a motor is a plus.

This is great boat, I like it.
