12' Heavy-Duty Kayaks with Re-Enforced Bottom Tubes.

Saturn NEW Heavy-Duty RK375W kayaks are specifically designed
for situation when there is a risk of scratching or puncturing lower tubes with
sharp rocks in a shallow bodies of water. Basically, these new kayaks are based on our
popular Expedition kayaks. We have added second layer of PVC fabric along lower
partition of kayak tubes and we added rub strakes along kayak sides for an additional protection.
These new RK375W kayaks are made of the same heavy-duty 1100 Dtex PVC as Saturn inflatable
boats and
rafts. The 2" thick air deck floor is made of a drop-stitch fabric that is extremely rigid when
inflated, but can be rolled up when deflated.
RK375W resembles in its appearance our other popular model -
whitewater kayak WK375, however difference is thickness of the floor which is
2" as opposite to 4" in white water kayaks, and lack of self-bailing
holes. This kayak is basically close in its functionality to Expedition kayaks,
that is why it called RK, but with additional rub strake and re-enforced lower
tubes.
RK375W can be used on slow to medium rivers, lakes, rocky bays and
calm ocean. However, our white water river kayaks
comes with 4" thick air floor and more suitable for class II and higher rapids.
Same as our popular Expedition kayaks, RK375W kayak is not a self-bailer.
If that is absolutely necessary, you can cut dime-size holes along floor perimeter of RK375W
to let excess water to escape, but it will not be a dry ride. It is recommended to add several flotation
PFD cushions on top of the floor for added buoyancy and for more drier ride.
 If
you need to move kayak seat slightly higher, type IV flotation
cushion, that is sold for around $10 in many retail and outdoor
stores, fit nicely on a bottom of this kayak and right under
kayak seat. It also will act as PFD in case of emergency, or sit
cushion once you get ashore.
RK375W kayak comes with 2 skegs and 4 pre-installed D-ring to
accept 1 kayak seat. Additional 4 D-rings are provided to be glued anywhere in a
kayak for additional customization. You can glue more D-rings somewhere in front to accept
second kayak seat for example, or use them for whatever settings you like.
- Heavy duty 1,100 Dtex
High Strength PVC fabric coated on both side with 1100 g/m2, 0.9mm.
Fabric is thick, puncture proof and abrasion
resistant.
